Mike Epstein is a graduate of the Jacob’s School of Music at Indiana University where he studied drums and percussion. His first job out of college was as the drummer for the Princess Caribbean cruise ship. Afterward, Mike began taking evening courses in psychology to one day become a practicing psychologist. This was quickly abandoned in favor of pursuing a career related to music and the arts, which lead Mike to become an intern at The Kurland Agency in Boston. Along the way, Mike obtained a Masters in Marketing from Boston University and after six years at The Kurland Agency, Mike left to form his own agency, Mike Epstein & Company, which he lead for 9 years before merging to help form the new agency EFP with veteran agent Michael Fox. Prior to the merger, Mike hired Marie Le Claire and she was instrumental in the success of the artists she represented. New Sound Arts subsequently launched in 2026.

Marie Le Claire is a born and raised New Yorker and has been working in the music business for over twenty five years. Marie didn’t go to music school and doesn’t play an instrument, but she is a lifelong, passionate lover of music and musicians. While studying film and political science at Hunter College in NYC, Marie began working with musicians, regularly filming live shows and recording sessions, making many EPK videos and even a few music videos. She then went on to work with grammy award winning artist, Maria Schneider as her assistant, tour manager and videographer and documented the making of three albums over a span of twelve years. In 2019, Marie joined Mike Epstein & Company as East Coast agent and it was one of the best decisions she’s ever made. She was then also the East Coast agent at EFP for 4 years. After a total or 7 years of working together, Marie is excited to start this new chapter as business partners with Mike, working with artists they both love and she looks forward to seeing what the future holds!
